Many people learn with computer now. Even though children and older use it. There are many kinds of learning. It is not only learning but also some functions. Also, computers are used academic work by students. There are good points, but there are bad points too in learning with computer.

College students use computer to do academic work. For example, English classes like reading, writing, speaking. They can use some online study, are English central and Power Words. English central is study contents of speaking. Speaking sentences, computers catch the speaking and gauge it. Power Words is contents studying English. Students can word meaning and pronunciation. They use computer to write report or something homework. Also, they can practice typing. It is important to use computer.

Computer has Office tool, are Excel, Powerpoint and Word. It is necessary to make graphs or tables. So it is used for report and homework. Excel makes graphs and tables. Word is used mainly for report, and graphs and tables that are made on Excel are used on Word. Powerpoint is need to presentation. These functions varies over the years, they have become usable.

Computer can connect with the Internet. Using the Internet, people can research almost things. There are many kinds of sites on Internet. It is not only Japanese sites but also that of other country. So people can practice typing, learn English or some languages, listen to music and watch movies. If they use application like Skype, they can talk people with view phone on the Internet. If people use computers which are connected Internet, they can do almost things.

Learning with computers has a good point. It is what it is very convenient. If people use computer, they can read, listen to and see a large things at one time. What's more, they can study to watch movie. It's easy to understand than myself with books. There are many people who don't like studying, but using computer, people can study as thought it were a game. Using computer, they can share something with someone. When they have question they don't know, they can ask someone. Sharing, we can study with someone. When people study with books, book hogs space on my desk. But computer is compact. People can study anywhere they want to do if they have a computer. It doesn't choose place. They can use idle time effectively. For example, during time spent to work or go school. Learning computer doesn't take much time. They can copy and paste a lot of. So they can use them time well.

Bad point is it is not suited to studying of exam. people can know many information from computer, but it is difficult to memorize. Because using computer not let me write, They can't write by my hand if they know the answer. There is no exam using computer so much. Most exam needs handwriting. They have heard that learning with computer not make stimulate our brains than handwriting. If you want to use your brain much, you should study by your hands. Also, using computer for long time is bad for the body. Eyes are tired, having shoulder stiffness and It's fatiguing on the body and mentally as well.

As a result, learning with computer is not need if I am asked whether I need it or not. Deppending on people differ whether learning with computer is good or not, but It is additional studying tool. So learning with computer is good things for humanities student. For science student, writing on notes better than using computer. It is often used for deliverable, it is not necessary when someone memorize knowledges privately.

Essays 2-01b: My learned language

I have ever learned Japanese, English and Germany. My first language is Japanese. I have spoken  it from when I was child. I was early to begin to speak Japanese. Maybe I spoke Japanese word for the first time when I was eight months. When I was a child, I had words board machine of Anpanman. If I touch the word, the machine was spoken some words. I remember it even now. And I understood Japanese to watch TV.

First, I write about Japanese. I learned hiragana and katakana when I was 5 years old. I have learned kanji from when I was second grade student. Kanji gradually have been difficult. Kanji of my name is easy, so I finished learned my kanji when I was fourth grade student. But I hated kanji and I am not good at it. I was learned proverb too. It is difficult to memorize and understand. So It is good things what I am Japanese.

Next, I write about English. I began to study English when I was junior high school student. I have used English when I was elementary school student because I had gone to English lesson. But I had not understood English then. So I am very much like I began to study English from junior high school.

English which I studied in junior high school is very different from that of what I  learned in elementary school. When I was elementary school student, I used English to speak or communication. But from junior high school it is important to read sentence, do grammer and memorize English words. So I didn't like English class like that, but I enjoyed English class of foreign teacher. So it was difficult for me.

I didn't hate English in junior high school, but I didn't like it in high school. I have learned about grammer, but it was more difficult to memorize many things in high school than in junior high school. And sentences were longer, words were more increase. What I don't like memorize is reason which I don't like English. If I took good points on exam in school, I could not read long sentence and I didn't know English words. There were no words which I had not to memorize. I had to memorize all words.   So I am not good at listening English.

I especially studied grammar and words of English in high school. I studied grammar with English workbook. I did a lot of pattern work. I understood grammar. But words which I memorized is a little. So I could not read sentence. I study English in my college. English is my second language. I study speaking, writing, listening, reading of English. I don't like English even now, but I want to complete English Because I thought that it is strange I have learned English long time and not to use English. Because I thought person who can speak English is cool, I decided to learn English. So I want to try hard studying English.

I studied Germany in my class a year ago. I didn't have knowledge of Germany. So it was very difficult for me. I studied Germany with textbook. In textbook, there are some example. I had a book of two type. One is grammar book and the other is conversation book. I studied grammar to do workbook of some pattern. So I had understood grammar then, but I forgot it now. About conversation of that, I don't memorize some conversation. I know only a few conversation. I listened Germany and I spoke it every week. I did it all what I could do. Patiently, I studied it and I memorized it. But I can't speak Germany very much now.

My purpose of learning languages is what I become person who can speak many kinds of people all over the world. I have heard English is not studying, it is just language. I was impressed by the words.

Essay 2-02b: Love my room

My favorite place is my room in my house. It has been used by me for 19 years. My room's main attractions are are there is large space, there are a lot of my collections. I can be relax there and I can decorate my room by myself. So my room is my world.

My room is large, and most everyone knows, big rooms are better than small rooms. Windows and doors are big, they are very open. There are not so much furniture there. There are only desk, bed, shelf and small desk in my room. Closet is inside in the wall. It makes the room more large.  There are collections of manicures, manga, DVDs and candles in my room. People tends to buy what is cheap and cute. Manicures of CANMAKE is it. There are many DVDs of western movies. Favorite smells differ deppending on people and smells  differ depending on rooms. For example, there are smells like sweet and fresh.    I don't like smells like perfume, but I like candles. So it is important to shape or design for me. Recently, I like candles of sweets shapes. Perfume cases are cuter than candles. I want to buy perfumes, but I don't use it because it is not cheap. I can display it in my room and I can enjoy them. I feel so happy that there are my favorites in my room. My room is like a toy box filled with my favorites.

People can make their rooms like they want to make. People can decide their room's wall, ceiling and floor colors. I have posters of my favorite persons or characters like ViVi's models, Audrey Hepburn and TinkerBell. I use them and photos for wall decorations. I can become surrounded by my favorites.

What's more, People can relax very well in their room. People don't have to think about anything else. My room is very homey. That's a my world. I especially like my bed the best all of things in my room. I like to read  books and watch DVDs lying on the bed. Because my bed is so comfortable, I tend to sleep before I know it sometimes. I have no mind to sleep. My room's floor is tatami, so I can sleep there in summer. 

I don't finish my room yet. I have many things for my room. Because I have western furniture, I want to change tatami to flooring. Sometime I think why all tatami is green. I wish tatami was white or green. I want to paint wall green or blue. I want a dresser, more sundry articles. I like to think about my room like that. I am enjoyed it very much. I have said that since when I was a high school student, but it is not finished yet. So I wish it was finished by I will become third grade but maybe it will take more time. 

I think that rooms betray mind condition of people whose have that room. So room's decoration is very important. Also, rooms has influence to people. Depending on room, people's condition can change. Actually, when I stayed in my host family's house, I feel very good. I waked up easily in the morning then, and I was happy everyday. The my room is very cute and fancy and the wall is dark green. There is indirect lighting. It was so comfortable. Maybe color of wall makes me comfortable. Green has power which relax people. I try decorate to my ideal.

Essay 1-02b: University Life

Goals

The students who come to KGU can have many different goals. For example, they may want to take TOIEC, TOEFL, *Eiekn, and get an English teacher’s license. There are many course of lectures on English in KGU. For example TOIEC, TOEFL, English conversation, Korea and Chinese. If they have low score of TOEIC, they are able to get high score. Also, they can attend a English class, so they will develop an abillity to English. They will able to get English teacher license. The class is difficult, but if they want to be a teacher they should the class. They will get many different goals.

Study

The students who enroll in English department of KGU will have many  homeworks. The homeworks are writing blog, English central, essay, but it is good for them, because it is able to study in English. Also, they will attend class without English class. Just maybe there are many reports in the class. Especially, there are many homeworks and reports in 2nd student. The 2nd student will be busy and hard, but it is for themseleves. A penny saved is a penny gained. This is proverb. Fight close together.

About friends

They will get many friends in KGU. If they are belong to club, they will make many friends.  Please join club, and they will be able to enjoy in University life. Another, they will make friends in same department.   In lumch time, they eat lunch in classroom or school cafeteria or bakery. There are many meeting in KGU. After the class, they often go to the down town. They go shopping, go to the dinner, go drinking party, go to karaoke. They are enjoying University life.

Examination

There is different from high school. This is very importamt. In high school, the examinations was commnuration, but the examinations is constituent in university. The student no examination the day. It is happy, but they must study for examinations. Also, they must check themselves schedule of examination. If they don’t check it, they will get credit. Also, if they mistake the time, they can’t get credit. They must check schedule of examination in a careful way.

Club activities

Soon after student get in KGU, they are solisited underdraduate to join clubs. By last year if they join a club, they could’t get out of them school because they were stopped by underdraduate at entrance gate. But it fade out from this year. It was considered that new students don’t join a club, but many students joined a club in this year too. Each clubs are devided four groups which are P.E, culture, learning and circle consociation. Each clubs have close ties to same groups.

Classes

Student can get 48 unit during the year. So, most student can get 16 or 17 classes. There are a few how to choose classes. It is that how to choose is choosing test is easy, nothing report, for qualification and adjustment of schedule. So, there are students have day that don’t have classe for adjustment of schedule. They have classes of each department. There are big class rooms and small class rooms. It sometimes happens that  most seats are all taken by students even small class room. There are not known teachers by students depending on the department because teachers differ from department.  

Summer study abroad

Student whose major is English can take summer study abroad class from  second grader. They go to Minnesota and live in them homestay during summer vacation for a month. They go Bethel university in Minnesota. They go to school from Monday to Thirsday, do some activities at Fryday. They spend with them host family at Saturday and Sunday. There are many lakes. So, they play fishing. They get a fishing  license before they go minessota. They do presentation of culture of Japan. They teach it people live in Minnesota.

Graduation travels

Most student go graduation travel after they graduate school. Because they are university student differ high school student, they can open them wallet well. So they can go far from them reigion. There are students which go to Tokyo. But there are student which go overseas too. For example Guam, Hawaii and Europe. They go travel various student which are club member, class member or zemi member. They are enjoyed graduation travels.

Essay 1-02a: University Life

I have goals in this year. They are to arrive score of TOIEC, 800s and TOEFL, more than 500. And to get STEP English test 2 levels.　I want to accomplish it later this year. To get Teaching English license too, by I will graduate my school.

I often go somewhere with my friends from this term started. If I have a free time, I invite to play  or go to friends. But my friends has not free time than I think and there is no that I was reject, so I am sad. When I play with friends, we almost go lunch or dinner. We eat delicious food and too talk. Every time we gather and talk, we laugh very much. My friends are very funny, they make me smile.

I have will go Tokyo in last year with my sister, but I didn't go there because I have a part time job and I can't decline it. My sister went Sky tree. By chance, Miranda Kerr came in Sky tree at the day because of advertisement for Samantha Thavasa. My sister saw a crowd of people and escalator stopped because of them. And she saw a woman who has a very nice figure, very small face and is a tall. That is Miranda, but my sister is not interested her much. She leave soon because there were a lot of people. I was very angry to hear that and I thought to death that I should have gone too see them.

I have a lot of home work. I don't like it, but only, I like English central. Speaking English is enjoying. I know that my bad pronunciation by English central. Especially, I am not good at ''v''.
I will go Minnesota for summer study abroad. This is my first visit to overseas. I'm look forward to  going there, and meeting my host family. I want to speak English much, I try to do my best.

After school, I always come home soon because I am very hungry. I almost have not part time job in weekday, but have it in holidays. I don't like part time job very much. I quite it as soon as but I can't tell that things with fear. So I have no choice but to suffer.

My name is Akari and I live in Kumamoto, Japan. I would like to thank you very much for offering your home while I am staying in Minnesota.  

I'm nineteen years old and a college student. My major is English. So, I'm glad to will be exposed real English. I have an older sister and a younger brother. I quarrel with them sometimes but I am on good terms with them.

My hobby is  watching movies and listening music. I like action, SF and comedy movies. I don't like horror movies. And I often listening to Western music like pop, R&B and hip hop.
I like to play sports and I am active. I like to play tennis, basketball and ski but I am not good at swimming. I like children too. It does wonders for my mind to see children's smiles.     

My hometown, Kumamoto is famous for horse sashimi and mustard lotus. They are very good through mustard lotus is hotter than you think. And there is Kumamoto castle. It's a big old castle which was built about 400 years ago. In the spring, people go on a cherry
viewing picnic at the foot of Kumamoto castle. 
     
I had never been to overseas, so this is my first overseas visit. I have been excited to go Minnesota. I am not good at speaking English and I may have some difficulties in our communication. But I will try my best even using hard gestures. I am look forward to meeting you.

Writing home work
