City

A famous place in my city is Kumamoto castle. It looks very great and cool. Price of admission is adult-\500 child-\200. Because it’s so cheap, I can go with a light heart. But in summer, it rather we don’t go. So it is very hot in summer. There is things is imitated at that time with exterior and interior. I can feel like history there, but it’s commodious and I don’t like to walk. So I want not to go there much. Kumamoto castle was built in about 1600 and has long history. Kiyomasa Kato built Kumamoto Castle of the figure like the present. Kumamoto castle use many stone walls of the shape called "protecting stones of samurai residences" that an upper incline is hard. Most person in Kmamoto know it.

Country

I want to visit in Italy because there are many enticing things. Italy is known for eating and world heritage and soccer. Eating like pasta, pizza, gelato, wine, cheese are famous. Pasta is Italian staple food and there are many kinds recipe. They are popular in Japan. Gelato is used each local food like tomato or cheese. Italy is a country having most world heritages in the world. The famous ones are Trevi Fountain and the Tower of Pisa.

People usually speak Italian in Italy. But language varies by state and they speak French or German. Another more language is used too.

In Italy, well-known cities are Rome, Firenze, Venezia. There are delicious dishes and world heritage. I can feel long history from old building. Many travelers visit there. Among them, I want to go to Vevezia. Water-bus is used there. I can enjoy the scenery from a canal while indulging in an elegant feeling by a gondola.

The reason I want to go to Italy is I want to watch soccer game live there. Because Italian soccer team is strong, a game must be so interested. And I like Yuto Nagatomo who is making an impact in Italy. So I go there and I want to watch a game he takes part in.

BR 2-18: The Wizard of Oz

This story is famous in the world. The work was done movie many times. last the movie was made by Disney in 2013.

A girl, Dorothy is main character. Toto is her dog. One day, her house was flied by typhoon and she and the dog arrived place they don't know. Bad witch was under the her house. Good witch said them that Oz who is great witch can back you to your home. So they went to Oz. On their the way, they met kakashi, tin plate and lion. She went with them. They arrived to Oz, but he said that kill the west witch to you back home. So they went to travel again. They killed the witch, thay returned to him, but he was swindler. They were angry but they noticed that. Kakashi got a brain, tin plate got a heart, lion is brave on the way. And then, they can back them home.

BR 2-17: The Emperor's New Clothes

"People will talk about the emperor for years to come." (Anderson, 2007, p.47)

This story is famous. I have heard the title but I read it for the first time.
Two confidence men said that they can make clothes which only clever people can see. They show a cloth, sure king can't see it. But the king pretend to can see the cloth because he don't want people to think that he is not clever. And his valet said can see it too. His soldier too. People in the town too. And then, the king walked in the city with no cloth. The naked king and people can't see clothes but everyone didn't say about that. But one boy said that the king is naked. 
The naked king meaning person who don't put person who say candid advice to oneself near myself.

BR 2-16: Moonfleet

"I am older now, and happy."(Falkner, 2007, p.56)

15 years old, John is main character in this story. He lives in Moonfleet. But it is said that people must not go church near by Blackbread graves at night because ghost of Blackbread appear there.
One day, John fall into basement of the church. There is place where is smuggling. He knew it and he was into trouble. His mother's friend, Fox went his city and he is boss of the smuggling. The smuggling day, the place is fight. John could escape from there and he found paper which is recorded place of treasure. So, He went to find treasures.

Resolutions in 2014

I will study hard more. I want to pass the STEP 2 grade and pre-1 grade. I have to study listening English and reading it. I can't understand long conversations and I am not good at working long sentences. I should study English everyday. I want to pass 800 score of TOEIC. It is important. It takes so long time to pass these test. So I have to study it soon.

 

I will diet for job hunting. Recently, being fat is bad point because it can not control health them selves. Especially, air-line job is hard about it.

Reflections in 2013

I learned many things in 2013. I read many American literary works which included  Adventures of Huckleberry Fin, Last of Mohicans, The Great Gatsby, The Old Man and the Sea and other novels. I think it was good chance for me because I don't like read books. 

Also, I went Minnesota for study abroad for a month. I learned about American culture, custom and little grammar there. I went Bethel University to study English. I attend classes of a grammer and lectures in midmorning. It's very interesting. In afternoon, I attended lectures or went sightseeing. I stayed in my host-family's house. A circumstance what there is no Japanese is a good experience for me. I was very enjoyed the study abroad, but my English was lacking. I think I could have been enjoyed more the study abroad if my English had been good. I could listen to real talking of American, I didn't know most of that. So I have to study English more.
