BR 2-03: The secret gerden

''It came alive.'' (Frances, 2007, p.63)

This story is famous for world, Japan too. The story has arranged to drama or movie in the world. But I read it for the first time.

It begin from shout of Mary who is heroine of this story. Her mother brushed her away as she always did. It was Mary's last glimpse of her mother. And her parents were dead by disease. I don't feel the occasion of the story, she has been alone even with her parent. 

And then, she went her uncle's house. But it is too long that from she went there to she met old man, Ben. While the time, it is written about her lonely feeling, it is no matter to me. Next, she found a secret garden and she try remake the garden with Dickon who has Ben's friends and Colin Craven who is her uncle's son and has bad legs. Colin's legs is getting better during remaking a secret garden. Finally, he could walk alone himself. And his father who shut the garden from Colin's mother dead came home, and he was glad to see cheer Colin.

BR 2-02: East of the sun, West of the moon

''For you are the girl who went to the ends of the earth for love.'' (Davidson, 2009, p.63)

This story is Norwegian folk tale. The story was amassed by Peter Christen Asbjørnsen and Jorgen Moe, was included in ''Norwegian Folktales''.


First, a white bear said that I want to take a most beautiful girl instead I pay you much money. She arrived magic castle. She lived there with the white bear. She noticed that a human sleep nearby her during she is sleeping. 

And then, she met her family. She was said that she lights a candle to look a sleepy human's face. She knew that the bear is a beautiful boy. He said that he is cast a spell by witch and he has to married with her daughter, witch. Next day, magic castle was disappeared and he was taken by witch. She leaved there to find him, the girl rode a white bear, the king, they escaped from the castle.

I don't like this story because the story is too smooth. The story is gone like nothing happened. And I thought that witches what happened. It doesn't sit well with me.

BR 2-01: Hamlet

''The rest is silence.'' (Shakespeare, 2009, p.63)

This is William Shakespeare's famous story, Hamlet. It is one of the his four tragedy and it it very sad story.

First, I thought that this story is fear or heartless when I saw the cover. I don't like a story like that, but I read it because it was written by William Shakespeare.

It was good things to Hamlet could meet his father even he is a ghost because Hamlet was miserable since his father dead. The new king is stupid. If he has married with Hamlet's mother just one month after the king was dead, the new king must have to be distrusted. What the new king did made everyone unhappy. If he didn't do that things, everyone were saved from misery. He finally killed 5 persons.

I'm sad to Hamlet was dead. He could revenge the new king but people around him were dead, even his mother. What Hamlet's friend, Horatio could be alive is only good things. I thought that revenge can not make anything. The rest is silence, as Shakespeare said.

Typing HW 6: My favorite drink

My favorite drink is water. I always only water. Sometime, I drink coffee, milk and others. I don't like soft drink, especially coca-cola. It is too sweet. When I eat something, I don't drink something without water because I can not feel taste of dishes. Soft drink can mask taste of dishes. So I can not believe people that drink juice during eat something. But when I eat sweets like cakes and cookies, I prefer to drink coffer or milk tea. Recently, soy milk and yogurt juice is my boom. I always drink soy milk, it is healthy. I like smoothie too. When I was high school student, I often went Tapiking to drink smoothie with my friends. Now, I go Starbucks to drink smoothie because it is in near my house. My favorite smoothie of Starbucks is matcha.

Typing HW 5: My favorite season

My favorite season is winter. Winter is very cold, but it may be snow. I like snow very much. When I was child, I made a snow man and small balls. I threw it to my brother, it was very enjoying. But recently it is not snow in Kumamoto, I am very sad. I want to play to use snow with my sister and my brother again. In winter I can’t get out from my bed because it is very cold if I get out. But it is very comfortable in my bed. I hate hot temperature and sun shine. I can realize to my skin return like before I got sunburn. Every year, I look forward to see my skin color.

Typing HW 4: My favorite sports

My favorite sport is soccer. It is very exited to watch but I can't play it. I began to watch soccer game on TV because my father likes soccer very much. When there was soccer game on TV, my father didn't change channel of TV. Now, I like to watch it than my father does. My father and I shout when someone get point. I especially like Shinji Kagawa, Atsuto Uchida and Keisuke Honda. Kagawa is like a God and I respect him. He is too good at playing soccer, I want him to move other more high level club. Uchida is too cool, he is my type. I want to marry him very much. But I don't know why, I feel like Japan win the game when Honda come in it.

Essay 2-02a: My favorite place

My favorite place is my room in my house. It have been used by me for 19 years. My room's main attractions are it is spread, there are some my collections. Also I can be relax there and I can decorate my room by myself. So there is my world.

First, I will explain about above detail from now. My room is spread, and I don't like small place. Windows and doors are big, it is very open. I don't like put many furniture in my room, so there are no much furniture there. There are only desk, bed, shelf and small desk. And closet is inside in the wall. It makes the room more spread. 

I like to collect something. I have some collections which are manicures, manga, DVDs and candles. And I can display them in my room and I can enjoy them. I feel so happy that there are my favorites in my room. My room is like a toy box filled with my favorites.

Also, I can make my room like I want to do. I can decide my room's wall, ceiling and floor colors. I have posters of my favorite person or character. I use it and photos for wall decorations. I can become surrounded by my favorites.

And then, what's more, I can relax very well in my room. I don't have to think about something else. My room is very homey. . That's a my world. I especially like a bed the best all of things in my room. I like to read a book and watching DVDs during lying on the bed. Because my bed is so comfortable, I tend to sleep before I knew it sometimes even I have no mind to sleep. My room's floor is tatami, so I can sleep there in summer. It is feel like good.

I don't finished my room yet. I have many things for my room. Because I have western furniture, I want to change tatami to flooring.. And I want to paint wall green or blue. I want a dresser, more sundry articles and etc. I like to think about my room like that. I enjoyed it very much.

My opinion about room, I think that rooms betray mind condition of people whose have that room. So room's decoration is very important. Also, rooms has influence to people. Depending on room, people's condition can change. Actually when I stayed my host family's house, I feel like very good. I waked up easily in the morning. then and I was happy everyday. That my room is very cute and fancy. And the wall is dark green. There is an indirect lighting. It was so comfortable. Maybe that's why is color of wall. Green has power which relax people. I try decorate to my ideal.
